Exercise Bike Weight Capacity Comparator
Indoor cycling bike listings lead with screen size, resistance type and streaming compatibility. Weight capacity is usually one line near the bottom of a spec table. We fetched five brands' own current pages directly and lined every figure up.
Sole's own catalog is the only one that explains its own numbers.
Sole's base-tier upright bike (B94) and base-tier recumbent bike (R92) both state exactly 300 lb
on their own pages. Sole's "light commercial" upright (LCB) and "light commercial" recumbent (LCR)
both state exactly 350 lb. The 50 lb gap tracks which support tier you buy, not whether the bike
is upright or recumbent — the same tier adds the same 50 lb to either bike type. None of the
review sites checked (Garage Gym Reviews, BarBend, Outdoor Gear Lab) call this pattern out; each
reviews one Sole model at a time.
Two other brands tie exactly, and Horizon Fitness's higher model number changes nothing.
Bowflex's own C6 page and Schwinn's own IC4 page both state 330 lbs (150 kg) — the identical
figure, from two independently owned companies. Horizon Fitness's own 7.0 IC page states the same
300 lb as its own cheaper 5.0 IC, despite the higher model number — the opposite of how this same
brand's own treadmill lineup works, where a higher model number reliably means a higher stated
capacity (see the treadmill comparator).
Every stated capacity, unfiltered
This table doesn't depend on what you typed above — every figure this page cites, straight from each brand's own current page.
| Brand | Model | Their own stated capacity | Their own note |
|---|---|---|---|
| NordicTrack | S22i Studio Cycle | 350 lb | their own FAQ: "The bike’s user weight capacity is 350 lbs." |
| Sole | LCB (light commercial upright) | 350 lb | their own "light commercial" tier — the same 350 lb as their light-commercial recumbent, next row |
| Sole | LCR (light commercial recumbent) | 350 lb | their own "light commercial" tier — the same 350 lb as their light-commercial upright, above |
| Bowflex | C6 | 330 lb | their own spec sheet: "Maximum User Weight: 330 lbs (150 kg)" |
| Schwinn | IC4 | 330 lb | their own FAQ — the identical 330 lb Bowflex states for the C6, above |
| Sole | B94 (standard upright) | 300 lb | their own base tier — 50 lb under their own light-commercial LCB |
| Sole | R92 (standard recumbent) | 300 lb | their own base tier — 50 lb under their own light-commercial LCR |
| Horizon Fitness | 5.0 IC | 300 lb | their own spec sheet: "Max User Weight: 300 lbs." |
| Horizon Fitness | 7.0 IC | 300 lb | their own spec sheet — the identical 300 lb as their own 5.0 IC, above, despite the higher model number |
What this does not do
- It compares nine named models across five brands, not every indoor cycling bike each brand sells — these are the models each brand's own current pages state a maximum user weight for, in text this fetcher could read.
- Peloton, Echelon and Sunny Health & Fitness are left out. Their own current pages either 401'd, 404'd, or rendered their spec section in a way this fetcher couldn't read as text — not evidence their numbers agree or disagree with the rows above.
- It is not a bike durability, fit or comfort recommendation. It reports what each brand's own current page states about maximum user weight, side by side — not an independent load test.
- "Light commercial" is Sole's own marketing term for the LCB/LCR tier, not an independent certification this page can verify — the page reports the number Sole states for that tier, not what "light commercial" durability testing involves.
