Rowing Machine Weight Capacity Comparator
Rowing machine listings lead with resistance type and screen size. Weight capacity is usually one line near the bottom of a spec table — and on the machine reviewers cite most often, that one line turns out to be two different numbers. We fetched four brands' own current pages directly and lined every figure up.
The same page, the same machine, two maximums 200 lb apart.
Concept2's own RowErg page states "500 lb (227 kg) as tested by Concept2" — the number every
review site quotes — and, separately on that same page, "300 lb (135 kg) as tested per European
Stationary Fitness Equipment Testing Standard EN 20957-7." Concept2 didn't hide the lower figure;
it's on their own page. It's just that nobody who cites the 500 lb number seems to mention what's
sitting next to it.
No two brands agree, and none of them match either Concept2 number.
Sole's own SR550 page states 400 lb. Sunny Health & Fitness's own SF-RW5639 page states 350 lb,
right in the product title. NordicTrack's own RW900 FAQ states 250 lb — half of Concept2's own
higher figure, for a machine in the same price range.

What this does not do
- It compares five named rows across four brands, not every rower each brand sells — these are the models and figures each brand's own current page states in text this fetcher could read.
- It does not decide which of Concept2's own two figures is the "right" one for you. Which test standard applies can depend on where you are and how the machine is being used — this page shows both of Concept2's own numbers side by side rather than picking one.
- It is not a durability, comfort or fit recommendation, and it does not check rail length or inseam. It reports what each brand's own current page states about maximum user weight, side by side — not an independent load test.
- Hydrow, Echelon, Rogue Fitness's Echo Rower and WaterRower are left out. Their own current pages either blocked this session's fetch attempt outright or render their spec section in a way this fetcher couldn't read as text — not evidence their numbers agree or disagree with the rows above.
